Automotive Assembly

Manpower, Inc. of SE Michigan is currently seeking automotive assemblers to work for our client base in Milan and Monroe, MI. Selected candidates will be assigned to a variety of automotive part suppliers and responsible for performing a variety of production, assembly, and manufacturing tasks. In addition, candidates need to be available to work a variety of shifts including, 12-hour days, weekends, and mandatory overtime as required. Automotive assemblers perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to: * Working on an assembly line, at machine, or at a workstation assembling and/or producing a variety of parts. * Assembling components by hand or using tools/machinery while following a set of standard directions. * Inspecting and verifying completed products meet documented specifications. * Packaging parts in accordance with specifications to prevent damage when shipping and labeling the finished products. * Documenting products assembled on work orders or other production forms. * Maintaining a clean and safe work station/environment by complying with procedures, rules/regulations, and safety guidelines. * Communicating with team members and management, participating in problem-solving, and providing feedback/recommendations. Preferred qualifications: * High school diploma or GED. * Ability to do repetitive work, stand 100% of the time, and lift up to 50 pounds. * Ability to perform physically demanding work, such as reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, grasping, twisting, and bending. * Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures; quality management systems; and environmental, health, and safety regulations. * Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in the automotive/parts industry a plus! * Knowledge of lean manufacturing/production systems preferred.
