Home Instead Senior Care is a non-medical provider of home care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands, incidental transportation and even Alzheimer's and dementia care. Our CAREGivers encourage, assist, and stimulate our clients in a variety of activities that improve their quality of life and help them maintain their independence. All of these services allow a senior to stay HOME INSTEAD for a longer period of time.

CAREGiver Duties
 
You don't need any prior experience to become a CAREGiver because we provide all the training. You bring the heart, patience and reliability. As a CAREGiver, your job is to deliver high-quality personal and companionship care with a compassionate touch. Your duties may include:
  • Supervision for bathing, grooming and dressing.
  • Companionship and conversation.
  • Grocery shopping.
  • Light housekeeping tasks.
  • Light meal planning and preparation.
  • Medication and appointment reminders.
  • Incidental transportation.
  • Alzheimer's/Dementia Care.
  • Verbal cues for toileting as needed.
     
    This list is by no means exhaustive. We do our best to provide those services that will help our client’s age with dignity in their homes.
     
    Requirements to be a CAREGiver
     
    To meet our high standards, you must be willing and able to:
     
  • Treat and care for seniors and their family members with compassion, dignity and respect
  • Communicate in a friendly and cheerful manner
  • Complete a criminal background check, Department of Motor Vehicles check and drug screen.
     
    You must also possess a valid driver's license and have valid, current auto insurance.
