POSITION SUMMARY


As a member of the Finance Business Partner group for Information Technology (FBP iT), the Senior Analyst, Financial Systems will provide functional and technical support for iT's reporting tools (e.g., Apptio, Mosaic). He/she will:
  • Provide recurring and non-recurring application support services;
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve moderate to complex application and process issues impacting the business;
  • Provide report, query, and dashboard design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and analysis guidance and support; and
  • Support applications upgrades/enhancements.


EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS


  • Execute day-to-day tools production support, system maintenance and configuration activities (e.g., report process/data load administration and monitoring; end-user support; hierarchies maintenance; validation of changes).
  • Work collaboratively and directly with FBP iT and iT leaders to understand and translate business needs and develop appropriate solutions. Support report, query, and dashboard development from design to production:
  1. Partner with business to define requirements
  1. Develop and/or approve design documentation
  2. Author and/or support authoring of reports and/or queries
  3. Perform/support system and user acceptance testing

  • Help implement systems enhancements and upgrades.
  • Help develop systems and process documentation, and end-user training and support materials for Oracle Business Intelligence tools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.


CANDIDATE PROFILE


KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE


  • Minimum 4 years financial applications management and/or financial accounting management experience.
  • Experience with financial system applications and reporting processes, systems and tools.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft application and Marriott's applications instance preferred.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted finance and accounting policies, principles and controls.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills; ability to take large volumes of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
  • Operates with a collaborative mindset to ensure that key stakeholders are considered, builds relationships to leverage information and insights; communicates well with stakeholders; openly shares and does not withhold information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to maintain effective relationships, both internally and externally with a broad group of stakeholders in order to foster trust.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
  • Baccalaureate degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related discipline required
