Our Customer Service teams have a serious responsibility to make every contact
informative, productive, positive, and memorable for what it says about how
much we care.
In this position you will be making Outbound calls to members that are with
UnitedHealthcare to insure and verify that we are meeting their needs and that
their experience with us has been adequate, thus far. During the calls, you
will make sure that they are getting the services and assistance that they
need. You will make sure that their information is up-to-date in the system,
you will assist in changing their Primary Care Physician, if needed, and you
will also manage the Referral process. You will process incoming and outgoing
Referrals and Prior Authorizations.
You will be responsible
for resolving Customer Service inquiries, and encourage members to use
Preventative services as well. During the calls, you will sometimes be required
to complete Risk Assessments for members and help connect them with Providers. Administrative
tasks will include the Intake of members and managing the Admission and
Discharge of information, post notification. You will be required to work with
hospitals and the Clinical team on a daily basis. Meeting productivity goals
and having good attendance is important in this role.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 1+ year of Customer Service
experience. - Bilingual (Mandarin / English).
- 1+ year of experience in an
Office environment using the telephone and computer as the primary
instruments to perform the job duties. - Computer skills, including
professional experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook, and the ability
to navigate within a Windows environment. - Knowledge of Medical
Terminology/Coding (ICD-9 and CPT).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual fluency in English
and Spanish. - Professional Medical or
Healthcare experience. - Experience in a high volume
Call Center. - Managed Care experience with
knowledge of Community-based programs.
