In this IT Cloud Architect role, you will be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the organization's technology architecture and applications plan, including the components required to support it and in the integration of corporate and business architecture and applications.  


 


Primary Responsibilites: 



  • Drive Architecture activities aligned to Requirements set by Leadership on behalf of key customer stakeholders for SES-led initiatives
  • PaaS, Big Data, API Development, & DevOps
  • Discover and Define functional requirements and their relationship to technical requirements and to determine the adequacy of documented requirements for architecture definition for the priorities of the department
  • Drive teams to foster successful consultations with Technical and Non-Technical Project resources to evaluate project scope, program offering opportunities, and walks end user through relevant processes as needed for the priorities of the department.
  • Serve the enterprise as an advisor and participate in collaboration sessions with peer groups and business owners to estimate the feasibility of further analysis cost, risks, and opportunities for pattern implementations.
  • Work with business owners, analysts, solution engineers, development teams and infrastructure services to define and communicate application and data architectures
  • Conduct vendor analysis and proof-of-concepts for new technologies/solutions
  • Drive the creation and usage of design patterns based on enterprise architectural and development standards

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years expertise in enterprise architectural components and interfaces and their applications:

    • SaaS/Cloud related technologies (multi-tenancy, metering, data segmentation, etc.)

  • 6+ years leading, developing, architecting, deploying, and/or supporting computing applications
  • Strong working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture topics and techniques
  • 6+ years of experience designing heterogeneous distributed applications (our definition of heterogeneous applications are those in which multiple operating systems, languages and computing platforms integrate)
  • Proven experience with implementing cloud-related technologies
  • Proven experience with design patterns
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative
  • Strong business/technology decision-making skills
  • Ability to lead multiple groups through an architectural development process and collaborate with the application development groups, architects and other professionals
  • Ability to discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to functional requirements and to determine the adequacy of documented requirements for architecture definition

  • Ability to understand the 'big picture' and relate it to the current state
  • Demonstrated ability to research new technologies and products
  • Excellent consultative and communication skills
  • Experience with a majority/variety of the following technologies:
  • Relevant Bachelor degree
  • Prior experience in application development including full life cycle activities
