Catering Coordinator Job Description

You are:

  • Self-motivated, details-oriented and able to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Enthusiastic for the mission of TTT and the customers we serve
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • An effective communicator, both written and oral
  • Confident in communicating in a professional manner with potential clients and other contacts

You will

  • Be responsible for catering orders up to 60 people
  • Create event orders based on guest’s requests and directional selling
  • Have a full understanding of catering menu, pricing, portion size, and preparation
  • Confirm and prioritize all catering orders to ensure event orders are prepared accurately and in a timely matter
  • Work with GM to execute delivery schedule
  • Deliver and setup catering orders
  • Perform confirmation calls to clients on day of order to confirm their food has left
  • Conduct follow up emails and phone calls with client to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Communicate all feedback with the team
  • Work with Catering Director to increase awareness and develop new catering opportunities
  • Source leads using market research within a 10 mile radius of location
  • Assist in generating in-store catering sales through register interaction and distribution of catering marketing materials
  • Send emails to previous catering customers to ensure repeat business
  • Act and appear in a professional manner at all times

Catering Marketing

  • Create weekly list of potential leads (no less than ten per week)
  • Conduct cold calls to potential leads offering a free catering (give four away every week)
  • Get catering marketing materials out to potential leads on a weekly basis
  • Hand out at least 10 business cards to in-store customers each week
  • Ensure all large orders from the store have catering marketing material
  • Ensure all in-store catering material is up to date and clearly visible
  • Find ways to participate in local farmer’s markets or street fairs to promote catering
