The HouseCalls Pharmacy team provides a variety of Medication Therapy Management services ranging from comprehensive medication reviews to specific clinical interventions that target certain health conditions.  All services are provided by a team of clinical pharmacists that interact with plan members and their healthcare providers.  The Director of Operations will report into the VP of HouseCalls Pharmacy Services and will be responsible for the development and implementation of operational models designed to achieve business objectives and meet service level commitments. 


 


 


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Oversee field operations, inclusive of production targets and quality standards. 

  • Develop and manage workforce models that identify staffing needs required to meet service commitments to clients.

  • Implement an appointment scheduling protocol, aligned with workforce plans, to meet service targets and optimize operational efficiencies.

  • Collaborate with Information Technology and Operations teams to build a pharmacy analytics strategy that provides metrics for internal program monitoring, client reporting and quality management.

  • Provide leadership to team members, as well as cross functional workgroups, and be accountable for the performance of these groups to achieve business goals.

  • Review, create, and/or maintain workflows to ensure they are up-to-date and operationally efficient

  • Provide guidance, expertise, and/or assistance to business partners (e.g. clinical call center, product, client services and quality management) to ensure programs and strategies are implemented and maintained effectively

 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Licensed pharmacist with at least 10 years of professional experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in operations management

  • At least 5 years of experience managing staff

  • Prior experience building, or directing the build, of analytic models or programs used to monitor and manage operational processes

  • Prior experience leading projects and/or meetings comprised of stakeholders with varied backgrounds and levels of experience, including senior level management

  • At least 5 years of experience working with pharmacy data, including familiarity with Medispan drug classifications

  • Proficiency with Excel, Access, Visio and PowerPoint 

  • Comfortable engaging, and presenting, to large groups including senior level managers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to motivate and inspire teams

  • Ability to interact cross functionally within the organization, assess various viewpoints and arrive at a solution that best meets organizational needs

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities

 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Prior Medicare Part D experience

  • Prior experience managing client and/or regulatory required reporting processes

  • Experience with BI tools and visual analytic software (e.g. Tableau)
