Entry Level Welder - Full-time / Part-time

Essential Responsibilities include (other duties may be assigned):

Insures that the part(s) have been properly masked. In some cases, masking, blasting or blending may be required.

Pulls tooling and materials required for thermal spray application. Performs the setup of equipment, tooling and materials for various applications (Pre-clean, stripping, shot peening, heat treating) with minimal supervision.

Oversees strip room of tooling in support of the thermal spray process.

Performs thermal spray support procedures: stress R, stripping, pre-cleaning.

Completes and maintains all process-related documents and verifies processes are completed properly.

Supports the Thermal Spray department in a variety of following duties as needed: masking, degreasing of parts, stripping coating off of parts, glass beading, blasting, and etching for spray and/or weld, assembly parts for stress R (fixtures as required).

Maintains chemical tanks, checks pH levels, builds and performs additives as required.

Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout department and work facility

Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Continuously required to move about the facility
• Occasional travel required
• Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors and temperature variations
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection and safety shoes
