DISH’s Quality Assurance team ensures compliance with DISH’s desired levels of quality and service.  State-of-the–art QA facilities in El Paso, TX; Spartanburg, SC; Suwanee, GA and Denver, CO use statistical sampling, and advanced quality assurance engineering tools to validate DISH hardware streams before distribution to customers.  

 

Working out of our Manufacturing Headquarters in Englewood, CO, the Quality Management Systems Manager has an opportunity to develop and establish DISH’s Quality Management System and find cost savings and improved efficiencies.

 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field and 10+ years of relevant work experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

  • Expert knowledge of industry Quality Management standards, (ISO 9001, TL 9000.)
  • Minimum 10 years experience in quality and manufacturing assignments practically applying these management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deploy a proactive quality strategy that delivers measurable results.
  • Ability to recognize company’s needs and work with other functional managers to assist in their progress toward meeting targets.
  • Results driven, ensuring short-term goals are achieved that support long-term initiatives with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to diverse groups, including hourly, management, executive management, external customers, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Effective project management, presentation and teaching skills are also essential.
  • Strong persuasive skills to implement plans and ideas.
  • Solid influencing skills and comfortable in working within a highly matrix organization - ability to work across cultures and geographies effectively.
  • Excellent computer skills that include proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are also required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience leading and supervising others.
  • Six Sigma certification and Master's degree preferred.
  • Leads the overall Quality Management Systems function for all DISH facilities including internal audits, document management, material review board (MRB), corrective and preventive action request systems and continuous improvement.
  • Builds relationships with department leaders and associates to ensure the QMS is deployed and implemented.
  • Develops the Quality Management System processes and procedures.
  • Implements an internal audit system, plan and schedule internal audits, document audit findings, and report audit findings to management.
  • Drives the resolution of issues found during internal audits.
  • Develops and implements a document management system and ensures compliance.
  • Establishes and implements a material review board (MRB) process.
  • Ensures return material authorization (RMA) process deployed and implemented.
  • Drives continuous improvement projects through utilization tools such as Six Sigma DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, 8D Root Cause Analysis and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Manages engineers and other associates that support quality management system activities.
  • Travels to DISH facilities to review and enhance their effectiveness and capabilities.
  • Provides training and career development and improve technical skills for self and associates.
