EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.  1-2 years related experience is preferred.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts required.  Examples include commission structure, discounts, pricing, and customer statements.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

Valid driver’s license required.  Employees must maintain a good driving record in accordance with Company requirements by avoiding excessive traffic and parking violations. Conduct in violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

This postiion is responsible for sales of DISH products and services at assigned National Retail accounts.  Primary job responsibility is to drive unit sales within the assigned territory.  The Sales Executive is responsible for both personal sales, as well as driving sales through retail staffing.  Travel, evenings, and weekends are required.    

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for predetermined daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals for the assigned territory.
  • Responsible for key assigned metrics by account.
  • Responsible for building strategic relationships with all assigned accounts.  Inspires, motivates, and trains all departments within each assigned location.
  • Ensures that all assigned new and existing retail sales personnel are properly updated, and that current sales and marketing programs are clearly understood.  Performs side by side selling with account personnel to build skill levels and drive new customer activations.
  • Ensures proper tracking of retail visits for reporting to ensure effective management of travel and timely scheduling of in person contacts.
  • Represents DISH at various in-store selling events, including setting up booths, performing demonstrations, providing marketing and product information and selling to potential customers.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of company, product and industry from continued training, education and self-learning.
  • Maintains timely detailed knowledge with respect to competition, demographics, products, programs, installation, service and pricing.
  • Provides management with continual feedback in regards to program effectiveness and suggested enhancements. 
  • Extensive travel within territory required on a routine basis.  Regional and National travel occasionally required. 
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License and meet requirements of department for a clean driving record.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
