Medline has an immediate opening for an energetic laundry sales specialist to facilitate the management of our textile business within a large independent healthcare laundry operation in the greater NY, NJ, CT, PA and DE areas. We are seeking a dynamic, hardworking, individual capable of working within a large healthcare laundry environment as well as medical networks. You must be people-oriented with strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities include:
  • Facilitate and make joint sales calls on large hospital customers in conjunction with both other Medline and laundries’ sales representatives.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships with the laundry becoming their first point of contact at Medline.
  • Create, run and present monthly/quarterly reports to help both the laundry and Medline better manage our collective inventory levels.
  • Handle new item forecasting by setting stock levels, updating of price files, and releasing pricing blocks.
  • Run and work weekly/daily reports to maintain price parity between the laundries price files and Medline’s price files.
  • Communication and follow up of issues with resolution on a timely basis.

Qualification

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of outside sales experience preferably in healthcare environment.
  • Proven ability to manage full life cycle projects and bring projects in on time
  • Proven ability to be pro-active
  • Experience successfully working with customers
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a detail focused, results oriented environment.
  • Skilled in problem solving techniques.
  • Good Communication skills – written and verbal
  • Outgoing and enjoys working with people
  • Ability to build strong relationships over the phone and email, as well as face to face
  • Looking to work as part of a team, and interested in advancement opportunities
  • Strong customer service focus and experience required
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a positive manner
  • Minimum commitment of 2 years to the position.
