Time Warner Cable ' s East Region Commercial Services department currently seeks a Channel Manager for the New York City Region. Please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Purpose:

Position will be identify, recruit, and develop qualified channel partners that will generate revenue based on selling Time Warner Cable ' s Business Class products and services through an established and growing program. In addition, the channel manager ' s responsibilities include managing established Master Agent/Sub-Agent partners in the NYC Territory and develop strategic business plans to drive revenue through the partner channel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Recruit, Enable, and retain our qualified channel partners.

- Create business plans as well as monthly/quarterly revenue targets with the Master Agents, and premier sub-agents.

- Provide a comprehensive on board training program to ensure our partners are certified to sell business class products.

- Develop communications plan with Master Agents & sub-agents to drive market awareness of business class services, new product announcements, marketing/sales incentives to drive revenue growth, & webinars for updating the agent community on company announcements/virtual training.

- Responsible for all sales support that includes: assisting partners to close business, single point of contact to engage sales engineering resources to close large complex single or multi-regional deals across our footprint, assist with paperwork to until agent is trained on processing orders, and handling pre-sales/post-sale escalations as necessary.

- Attend weekly strategy meetings with the partners to create accurate sales pipeline reports on all partner activity.

- Conduct monthly reviews with Channel Sr. Director to ensure partners are hitting established revenue targets. Identify any negative trends impacting sales and provide necessary problem/resolution to the partners.

- A thorough understanding of Voice (PRI, VOIP, SIP applications), Data (TDM, DS3, OCn, & multiple Ethernet services), equipment vendors (Nortel, Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, etc.), managed services, private networks/MPLS and SaaS services is required.

- Create and maintain accurate account plans and reviews with senior level Time Warner Cable management (Corporate and Regional)on a monthly and quarterly basis

- Conduct customer presentations & generate pricing/proposals as required to support the Master Agents/Sub-Agents.

- Manages Administration by ensuring the following processes are being completed: SalesForce.com reports, Project Plans, Business Cases, Travel Forms, Etc.

- Key Stakeholder for receiving, responding, & answering RFP/RFI requests for our business partners.

- Provide support, mentoring, and leadership to sales team members.

- 100% of sales activity will be focused on acquisition of new revenue from our channel partners.

- Accountable for interfaces with Commercial Services Corp linkage related to evolution of Channel Partner strategy and single point of contact for the East Region providing input on model evolution nationally.

- Travel requirements are estimated at approximately 50%.

- Ability to work in a physical TWC office or remote office covering the East Regional territory.
Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent work related experience required.

- A minimum of 8 years telecommunications sales and sales management experience working in a third party, reseller, or systems integrator channel required.

- Proven track record exceeding revenue quota targets selling and managing third party partners at a ILEC, CLEC, Cable Company, or a national systems integrator required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Must be able to attend on-site customer appointments on a weekly basis. These customer appointments are, and usually are, in multiple locations.

- Ability to write effective business plans on a quarterly basis (rolling 90 day business plans).

- Proficient in contract negotiations.

- Possess excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.

- Must be a self-starter and have experience working in a remote office environment.

- Proficient with database management; i.e., Siebel, Salesforce.com, or similar type CRM Tool, etc.
