The primary duty of the Inside Sales Specialist (ISS) will be to build relationships, provide support, and grow business with assigned Red Lion Controls channel partners. The ISS will be the designated first point of contact for assigned channel partners within a geographic area and will provide both reactive and proactive support including but not limited to: answering simple questions, providing interface to other areas of the organization, identifying leads, and providing updates on new products, promoting training, and improving mindshare.

* Follows prescribed customer contact and relationship strategy for inside sales team. The relationship strategy will include tactics to drive revenue targets, customer stability, and quality communications. This element of the position requires a good understanding of business issues of the reactive channel partners.
* Follows up on leads from trade shows, web communication, and other sources by performing out-bound phone calls to qualify the leads. Some leads will be qualified and forwarded to Field Channel Managers or handled by the ISS.
* Properly identifies (triage) issues and engage other Red Lion Controls departments when necessary (technical support, field sales, inside sales, channel partners) in a manner that is not cumbersome to the customer / channel partner.
* Provides prompt, courteous, and effective phone and email support to customers and channel partners. This includes identifying Red Lion Controls part numbers and products, technical product data sheets and responding with answers to technical questions.
* Presents to customers a solid understanding of Red Lion Controls product / business differentiators which requires the incumbent to possess intimate knowledge of Red Lion Controls competitors / offerings.
* Provides correct literature to customers / channel partner (data sheets, catalogs, brochures).
* Make outgoing calls to channel partners / customers (Cold Calling)
* Works with the Inside Sales Director to analyze performance data and implements improvements to processes and behaviors to drive additional growth of the reactive channel partners.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 1 year of inside sales or direct sales experience.
* Must be able to manage a work volume of 1-5 incoming customer / channel partner calls per hour
* Must possess the ability to efficiently ask questions and quickly identify root issue of customer / channel partners
* Ability to read a technical product data sheet
* Ability to answer "simple" FAQ type technical questions
* Demonstrates oral and written communication skill to effectively interface with all levels of Company management and staff, customers and outside business contacts.
* Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping abilities are a must.
* Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
* Proficiency with English language both written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
* Inside sales or customer support teams in an industrial business.
* Experience with CRM or inside sales management tools; ERP or related software
