The Consumer Solutions Group within our Optum organization is seeking a strategic and action-oriented professional to help develop and manage the Medicare Advocate4me model for UnitedHealthcare Medicare and Retirement. This role's primary responsibilities are to lead the design and development for how Advocate4me how it is enhanced for Medicare and Stars. This person will also be responsible for defining and managing how this model is integrated with all other Medicare clinical programs and Stars infrastructure.  A successful candidate will have baseline knowledge of Medicare and Stars as well as product development and management experience.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Leads and supports the development and roll-out of Advocate4me for Medicare

  • Collaborates with a cross-functional team including operations, technology, reporting and UHC customer service to define and develop the infrastructure to support the Medicare model

  • Inform and define the most effective interventions to close Stars gaps in care for members calling in to Advocate4me

  • Define the appropriate connection points and integration with existing Stars and clinical programs. These programs include Case and Disease Management, Diabetes Healthcare Navigator as well as Practice Based Support

  • Maintains and develops robust product measurement plans and value reporting

  • Partners with the Advocacy Product Team and UnitedHealthcare Medicare &  Retirement key stakeholders to ensure program satisfaction and value demonstration

  • Supports development of technology solutions to support program execution and growth by articulating business requirements

  • Serves as product SME to team and other constituents and demonstrates ability to articulate the product value proposition

  • Leads and participates in product solutioning to meet non-standard client needs, ensuring any customization is scalable and drives value

  • Ensure all Stars product development is aligned with broader product development and Stars strategies and communicated to the affected constituents

  • Develop and maintain a value model to demonstrate how the program impacts Stars, Risk Adjustment as well as Medical Expense savings

  • Develop technology solutions in partnership with Capabilities colleagues to drive efficiencies in service delivery and enhanced program reporting and scalability, serving as steward of associated capital funding

  • Review product performance against expectations and influence changes to product portfolio to improve competitive position and optimal product performance

  • Maintain current knowledge of competitive organizations and product offerings

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience working in a matrix organization

  • Self-motivated with proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deliverables, and meet deadlines

  • Proven organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity

  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Preferred Qualifications:



  • 5+ years health care industry background
