Monarch Health Care Economics Analyst - Irvine, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide claims, premium, capitation and membership data in support of underwriting, Actuarial and utilization analyses


• Identify potential areas for medical cost improvements and alternative pricing strategies


• Create and update automated processes


• Analyze reporting tools utilized by the internal customer groups


• Produce and review reports specific to risk adjustments for various markets

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience


• 2+ years of work experience in the health care space


• Strong SQL programming skills


• Experience using any business intelligence tools that sit on top of a large database of administrative medical claims data


• Intermediate level of proficiency working with MS Excel


• Proficiency with Access


• Proficiency in performing data analytics
