Job Description:
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Responsible for appearance, arrangement and utilization of salesroom and all merchandise and equipment contained therein. Waits on customers selling, supplying information and assists with certain records and reports. Supervises.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:
1. Waits on customers and is responsible for rendering prompt service.
2. Keeps attractive and timely displays in salesroom at all times.
3. Initiates and promotes merchandising programs and executes merchandising standards.
4. Assists in taking inventory, certain retail reports and records and orders merchandise.
5. Supervises assigned employees.
6. Verify incoming merchandise.
7. Assists in warehouse or mill as assigned.
8. Responsible for cleanliness of sales area including the restrooms.
9. Assist in planning, coordinating and execution of events.
10. May be in charge in manager's absence.
11. Attends schools and meetings as required.
12. Adheres to Southern States Corporate policies and procedures.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school education or equivalent
- Must have two years retail experience
- Must possess keyboarding skills
- Knowledge of RSS and StatesNet
- Must be oriented toward assisting the patron; to include greeting, recommending products and handling small complaints
- May require CDL
- Valid drivers license
