Positions in this function support the vision operations (retail vision stores, production lab) of the business. Only employees who are represented by a Union should be in this function.

In this position you will be prepping lenses. You will sort them and put them in order due to the size and material of the lenses. You will be required to clean the lenses, as well. You will print envelopes to put the lenses in for coating purposes. As you gain experience, you will also be trained to use a SBSM, which is a device that puts a hard coating on the back of the lenses. You must be able to stay focused while doing repeated tasks, as you will be required to be able to clean and prep at least 25 lenses per hour (This metric is established after the Training process). This position will require detailed inspection, standing for the majority of the time, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs on a daily basis. 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to work an Evening shift of 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to Add and Subtract numbers.
Preferred Qualification: 
  • Ability to Log data into a Computer database.
  • IT training or experience
