This is not a Call Center environment however it is a very busy office where you will be working about 60% of the time on the phone and 40% administrative related tasks.  This is a Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm position in which you need good Customer Service skills to succeed.  You will be working with Hospice patients, their families, insurance companies, facilities, and providers. To succeed in this role, you have to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.  In a typical day, you will be doing initial authorizations and subsequent authorizations for hospice care within the All Scripts computer system. You will also be ordering durable medical equipment for patients as well as following up if the equipment order does not arrive. The majority of the calls you take in are inbound around 40 a day. You are the front line person on the phone so most of the time you are obtaining the information from the caller and directing them to the appropriate person. Excellent Customer Service is crucial as the population you are working with is related to end of life care. You will be receiving and processing hospice medical orders as well. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Current LPN licensure in the State of Virginia.
  • 1+ year of Customer Service experience analyzing and solving customer problems in a professional environment.
  • 6+ months of experience working in a collaborative team in a professional setting.
  • Proficient using a computer and Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook).
  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records.
  • Experience working in a Physician Clinic, Outpatient Clinic, Hospice Clinic or any Medical facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Clerical or Administrative Support experience.
  • Experience working with Healthcare Insurance.
