Day 1 - come into office and take the initiative - phones are ringing and the person will pick up the phone and put them on hold
Work out of scheduling, check in check out registering patients in IDX and they also use centricity - only application that the physicians use so they need to know how to route messages to doctors
-patients call in requesting information and they will need to know how to type a message and route back and forth to the doctor - phone notes and flags (patient related and not)
-processing rerfarrls in centricity and faxing referrals
-checking the physician's mail (outgoing) to make sure time sensitive materials are taken care of
-They dont have to (in the beginning) scan and import information into the customer portal
-responsible for zocdoc (website patients use to schedule appointments) and checking the patient name and confirm in IDX
-on average they see around 100 patients a day and they also have calls to answer non-stop - around 6,000 calls a week
