Summary

As a Senior Sales Training Specialist, you will be responsible for driving sales results, through training, for the assigned client programs in Call Centers. While specific duties will vary based on the program and the specific challenges during the month, this position works directly with Partners, their employees, coaches, supervisors and senior management on behalf of our client. The measure of success is the ability to positively impact sales through effective trainings; both side by side as well as classroom style.

Overall, individuals in this position are responsible for taking ownership of their assigned locations on behalf of the client to drive sales improvements and meet other customer metrics.

JOB DUTIES FOR SENIOR SALES TRAINING SPECIALIST:
  • Work directly with partner front-line employees, coaches, supervisors, managers and senior management to drive and increase sales of the Client’s products and services. Use direct training, observation, side-by-side call monitoring and customer interactions as a direct method of demonstrating and educating employees about sales techniques and the client's new and current promotional activities. . Educate Partner Associates and Management on how to sell the client’s products and services by directly interacting with their employees, customers and via both informal (side-by-side) and formal (classroom) trainings
  • Use personal initiative to create and implement motivational contests, goals, challenges and incentives to further improve sales or in response to low performance as you encounter challenges. Through analysis of visits and sales, make suggestions and presentations to suggest methods of increasing sales for the client.
  • Traverse through the call centers on a ongoing basis, approaching those reps who need help, and providing support in general; all activities should be increasing sales.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to the partner's employees, supervisors, managers and customers, demonstrating in-depth product knowledge, and maintaining client presentation standards. Provide exceptional client service and follow-up with all Partner stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your assigned partner locations and clients through personal integrity, sales, and product expertise
  • Become the product expert on all aspects of the client's products and services, including technology, plans, promotions, sales techniques, best practices, computer system and on-line tools, activations procedures and methods, credit and escalation processes. Demonstrate and transfer product knowledge through all partner contact.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR SENIOR SALES TRAINING SPECIALIST:
  • 3 years Direct Sales Experience, Assisted Sales Experience; preferably in a Telco environment
  • Training experience in both informal and formal settings
  • Call center experience as a Sales Associate, Supervisor, Trainer or Coach is a plus
  • Ability/willingness to travel 100%


SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SENIOR SALES TRAINING SPECIALIST:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be extremely organized and have extraordinary time management skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong and effective selling skills
  • Must be able to build strong working relationships with managers, Sales Associates and others in the industry
  • Must understand both the sales process and effective training techniques for sales
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to initiate dialogue and engage sales personnel and consumers; must be extremely confident and comfortable engaging partner employees at all levels of the organization during both formal and informal interactions
  • Must be able to attend all-expenses paid training conventions with Team for team-building and skills training
  • Must be flexible enough to respond positively to changes in schedule based on the needs of the Client
  • Working knowledge of basic consumer audio/video setups and operations highly desired
  • Working knowledge of the satellite and cable television industry and technology highly desired
  • Working and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Must have reliable transportation to Call Centers and/or local airport


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS FOR SENIOR SALES TRAINING SPECIALIST:

    • On board and train new Specialists through shadowing and teaching
    • Create and deliver special presentations and projects on behalf of the client
    • Fill in for DSM’s in their absence
    • Travel Nationally and Internationally to deliver special trainings for client

Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections).
