Positions in this function use advanced statistical and inferential analysis programs to provide specialized data analysis. Organizes, sorts and filters data in order to distinguish patterns and recognize trends. Develops and maintains data preparation and validation routines to support data mining and has experience in creating complex data mining algorithms. Selects, recommends and applies appropriate analytic and statistical methodologies and techniques to execute against an analysis plan or research objectives. Evaluates new analytics tools and methodologies for possible deployment. creates data warehouses/marts and/or develops data mining analyses to support business decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze business requirements


• Architect/Design Data Warehouse infrastructure and solutions


• Develop technical specifications and design documents


• Develop, enhance, integrate Data Warehouses/Data Marts and Business Intelligence Solutions


• Test Data Warehouses/Data Marts


• Deploy and Maintain Data Warehouses/Data Marts
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience


• 3+ years experience with SQL programming in SAS


• 1+ years experience with Cognos query and reporting tools


• 2+ years experience working with Unix development


• Professional experience with Healthcare, Insurance or Financial reporting


• 2+ years experience programming in a relational database environment


• 2+ years experience of SQL programming against one or more UnitedHealth Group databases would be a plus


• Hands on experience deploying batch production jobs in Tivoli or a similar scheduler is desired 3+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle experience


• 2+ Professional IT experience in a large, enterprise environment
