UHC is embarking on an unprecedented change agenda to reduce our cost structure, simplify our operating environment and retain our competitive/advance our position in the market.  Critical transformation initiatives are underway that are understaffed while other programs are unstaffed entirely. E&I Business Operations will build out a team of highly skilled professionals that can quickly engage and provide leadership on these programs. Successful candidates will provide end to end project life cycle services to improve operations and information management for multiple functional areas.


 


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Demonstrate extremely strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Work across business and technology teams to assist in solving complex business issues and /or enhancing tools and processes

  • Candidates will have hands-on experience managing all aspects of large scale business transformation and technology programs including, stakeholder mgmt., CBA development, financial management, operational readiness and value realization plans

  • Candidates will hold frequent report-outs to c-suite executives and stakeholders

  • Demonstrated the ability to identify/understand business issues by documenting workflow documentation, specifications, and operational protocols, including regulatory and compliance related impact

  • They will be capable of gathering information for solution selection and implementation, test plans, and training plans

  • Candidates will have direct experience in enhancing web-based external customer shopping and/or eligibility experiences

  • Candidates will also have specific experience with broker interactions, employer group and member eligibility; and renewal activity

  • Candidates will have experience with product suites and rating

  • Candidates will be highly proficient in, and organized around the task management of multiple work-streams, including project planning and tracking, and road-mapping

  • Ensure a disciplined approach and methodology are applied to project and program activity to optimize cost, schedule, service and quality

  • Track record of implementing complex initiatives with increased responsibility and accountability

  • Previous experience with software vendor management

  • Demonstrated success in strategic decision making, creating

  • Demonstrate extremely strong teams, leading, coaching, managing and mentoring program and project managers

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent education and experience

  • 5+ Health care experience

  • 5+ years of project management experience

  • 5+ years experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions.

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience

  • Actively pursuing PMP Certification

  • Experience working in a regional, national, or global company

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities

 


 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • MBA

  • Previous experience in a large, complex managed care and/or insurance organization
