Primary Responsibility:
To perform day to day operations of a temperature controlled (-10degrees) warehouse. Facility safety, sanitation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and guidelines are essential requirements.
Essential Functions:
* Order picking, stocking and inventory control.
* Load and unload trucks and trailers. Move product onto a pallet in the correct position.
* Scan product and move to loading area. Check for accuracy and placement.
* Direct product to correct area in warehouse.
* Secure product using shrink wrap. Attach correct labels to product.
* Preserve product integrity. Ensure all sanitation and food safety guidelines are observed.
* Move product safely using hands, forklift, pallet jack or dock pacer.
* Clear work area of wood pieces and plastic. Sweep work area as needed.
* Report faulty equipment, damage to racks and other safety hazards to supervisor.
* Inventory product as needed. Label, sort, wrap and tie product.
* Other duties as requested.
Qualifications/Additional Skills:
* Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
* Adhere to strict safety and quality standards
* Ability to learn the basic knowledge of how a warehouse operates.
* Ability to become forklift certified.
* Must have strong teamwork skills.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
* Ability to add, subtract and multiply.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate is required to constantly function in a cold (-10degrees) environment. The associate is frequently required to lift up to 60 pounds, stand, handle objects, use close vision and use distance vision. The associate is frequently required to bend, twist, kneel and hear.
