About this job
This Quality Control Department is in need of an assistant. Some of the job duties to include:
Quality Control Department Assistant
- Assisting in development and execution of department procedures
- Striving for improvement in transportation services to find most practical, economical, and cost effective way to help gain sale of specific job
- Dowloading the Yard Inpectors' and Shipping Inspectors' photos from the previous days onto the server
- Creating file labels for all wireless and utility jobs
- Reviewing CMTR's for the ASTM requirements of the material received on the daily plate log
- Many other duties to assist with the Quality Control department
Quality Control Department Assistant
Requirements
Background Profile:
- Intermediate skills with experience in Microsoft Office
- Filing skills and ability to use office equipment such as copier, fax machine, and scanner
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Experience in a steel manufacturing plant or previous knowledge of welding and material requirements is preferred
- 1 year recent experience in a related field
