About the Mid-Atlantic Region and Our Stores:

The Mid-Atlantic region is comprised of over 40 stores in DC, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, and parts of New Jersey. Within our stores, we have 9 departments including: Front-End/Customer Service, Produce, Meat, Seafood, Specialty, Grocery, Prepared Foods, Bakery, & Marketing. We’re looking for team members to join each of these departments!

About the Reston, VA Store:

Opening in 1995, Reston is a newly renovated store and we are 183 members strong! Located in the beautiful metropolitan town of Reston in Northern Virginia, less than a mile from the Reston Town Center, just 20 miles west of D.C. and 6 miles east of Dulles International Airport. We will soon be metro accessible! The Silver Line metro is scheduled to open in July 2014, about a mile from our store

Learn About Our Departments:

• Front End/Customer Service: Cashiers, cashier assistants, customer service desk etc.
• Produce: Fruits, vegetables, floral offerings
• Meat: beef, pork, chicken, turkey, etc.
• Seafood: fish, lobster, etc.
• Specialty: Cheese, charcuterie, coffee, beer & wine (if applicable by state),
• Grocery: Dry goods, bulk (nuts, seats, dried fruit), dairy (milk, cage free eggs), pet food
• Prepared Foods: Hot bar, salad bar, pizza, tacos, sandwiches, sushi, catering
• Bakery: Breads, rolls, cakes, cookies, pastries
• Whole Body: personal care items, nutritional supplements, herbal and homeopathic remedies, vitamins, clothing, household cleaning products
• Marketing: Community outreach, social media, events etc.

About You- Minimum Requirements:

Do you shop at Whole Foods Market and just love the team members you interact with during your visit? Are you excited by work that is connected to a deeper mission? Do you dream up dinner menus in your sleep? If so, Whole Foods might be the place for you!

• Let your internal “foodie” shine! We want you to love our food as much as we do, so a passion and knowledge of natural foods is desired.
• Being a grocery store, we prefer if you have a background in the food industry and/or retail food preparation, but this is not a requirement.
• Excellent customer service is a keystone for our success; so you must have the ability effectively communicate, build relationships, and delight and satisfy customers!
• Our retail environment is not your typical 9-5, and that’s a good thing! But because of this, we’d like you to be available to work a flexible schedule to meet store schedule needs.
• Last but not least, our team members work closely with one another in their individual teams, and throughout the store; so we want people who are team players who can be held accountable to be punctual, respectful, and motivated to complete tasks and duties within their role requirements.
