SUMMARY:

As a Coffee and Juice Bar Team Member, you will be responsible for making quality coffee and juice bar beverages according to recipes and customer requests. You will ensure that quality standards are being upheld for all coffee/juice bar products and will contribute to team sales by suggestive selling and sampling of coffee/juice bar products.

DUTIES:

- Give every customer immediate and undivided attention.

- Make all coffee drinks and juice bar drinks ordered.

- Follow through on all customer questions and requests. Sample department products to the customers. Take special orders and inform the Team Leader.

- Conduct plunger pot sampling and hand sell coffee.

- Ensure freshness standards are being upheld in whole bean, packaged and brewed coffee.

- Keep department supplies filled and maintained.

- Keep all cases and shelves clean, well stocked and properly rotated. Maintain back stock areas and coolers.

- Help cross-merchandise product with other departments.

- Assist other departments when necessary to facilitate customer service.

- Maintain accurate retail pricing and signage. Be aware of new products and their placement.

- Document product transfers, waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.

- Properly package and wrap products for retail sale. Wrap and store unused products in coolers.

- Participate in Regional and Global sales promotions.

- Wash dishes and utensils when necessary.

- Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.

- Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have a passion for natural foods.

- Must love to drink and serve coffee with the utmost desire to satisfy customers.

- Able to work well and motivate others within a team.

- Able to communicate effectively with others and convey enthusiasm.

- Possess some customer service experience.

- Must be self-motivated and solution oriented.

- Must be available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department/store.

- Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights and weekends as required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and
below shoulders and squat.
- Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
- Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
