REM River Bluffs is seeking both part-time and full-time Direct Support Professionals throughout Scott County including Shakopee, and Prior Lake areas. We offer supportive team environment, a variety of schedules with consistent work hours and the opportunity to gain and grow experience in the Human Services field.
Description
By joining our team as a Direct Support Professional, you will provide assistance to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism spectrum Disorders, Brain Injury, Mental Health Challenges, Physical Disabilities, and with complex medical needs. Additional responsibilities may be providing assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care. Direct Support Professionals may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. Qualifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
- Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
