STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
To provide effective repair and maintenance on restaurant equipment and facilities in a timely and efficient manner as needed, as well as meet and complete Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules within assigned stores.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Conducts preventive maintenance service, and provides emergency repair, and cosmetic repair on restaurant equipment and property; performing modifications to equipment installations as needed.
- Provides support with the installation of equipment resulting from special projects (i.e. timers, grills, etc.).
- Conducts regular inspections of all equipment and property of assigned restaurants and performs maintenance where warranted, or reports the condition of the equipment or facilities, as well as maintenance status if falls below company standards.
- Completes and submits accurate and timely reporting of invoices, maintenance logs, purchase orders, capital expense requests and any other administrative paperwork as needed.
- Maintains appropriate level of inventory of store level equipment, spare parts and company owned tools, within budgeted guidelines. Provides accurate inventory records and reports as requested.
- Provides supervisor with recommendations regarding capital budget expenditures for equipment, building and property repair or replacement based on store inspections.
- Maintains current service and warranty repair records and prevents unwarranted repair expenses or violation of warranties.
- Provides maintenance and repair assistance as required for store openings, special events, fairs, and the store closing program; assists in transfer, sales and/or disposal of equipment.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge in general equipment repair and maintenance, construction, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical repair and plumbing. Ability to set and maintain budgets and supervise maintenance technicians.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) HVAC/R Type 1 and Type 2 certification is required; Technical certification preferred, Legal licensing may be required in some locations; and 1 - 3 years experience in related general maintenance/repair work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Irregular hours or periodic overtime required. Frequent exposure to extreme weather situations. Required to be on call on a 24-hour basis.
