About this job
Primrose is hiring an Assistant Sports Coach to work with elementary school students after school. The position is part time during the school year and will go to full time in the summer.
Hours: 2:30 / 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Qualifications:
o Ability to relate positively with elementary aged children
o Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience a plus
o Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of children
o Must be able to lift 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
Responsibilities:
o Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a class of children
o Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
o Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration and decision making by the children
o Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using Primrose curriculum and materials
o Provides the children with verbal phrases and acceptance while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
o Maintains the Primrose professional attitude and work behavior
