Description

The Emerging Leader Candidate (Supply Chain) will participate in a 15-month program focused on preparing the individual to manage a key department in the manufacturing portion of the DPSG business. On the job experience and proficiency will be gained by learning general management principles and performing in a variety of operational roles which include Corporate Supply Chain, Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Quality Supervisor, Production Planning Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate will bring more than 3 years of proven leadership experience. They will have an advanced degree (MBA or Masters) and/or a certification (6 Sigma, PMP, etc.)

This role will be based in a variety of locations includingPlano, Irving or Houston TX, for the first 11 months, followed by 1 month at our headquarters in Plano, TX, with the last 3 months of the program to be field based plant location within the US. This person will report to the Manager of Leadership Development.

Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor
• Regularly inspect and coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure facility is compliant with all OSHA, federal and state/local food safety guidelines and requirements.
• Prepare, review and submit required environmental reports for regulatory agencies and third party clients.
• Manage & update all environmental programs & permits for wastewater discharge, storm water, hazardous waste, SPCC, and other regulatory compliance affairs.
• Manage & update all safety programs and training modules to ensure that training personnel and employees are aware of established procedures
• Analyze accident and incidents with root cause analysis and make recommendations to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents.
• Manage and collaborate with security staff.

Production Supervisor
• Direct, coach, train and evaluate production operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedules for multiple packaging lines.
• Manage within labor and operating expense budget.
• Coordinate beverages packaging ensuring safety, quality and productivity while optimizing yield.
• Meet productivity, quality, safety, health, environmental and regulatory requirements for the site.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment and maintain working conditions within safety protocols.
• Review and analyze production records to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Make recommendations for production efficiency improvements
• Drive continuous improvement in area of responsibility through teamwork, skills and capability development.
• Manage and facilitate employee and management relationship within the guidelines of collective bargaining unit and company policy.

Quality Supervisor
• Leads the Quality department on assigned shift, assuring an effective & strong audit function.
• Directs and manages all quality functions in accordance with the Quality Assurance department procedures, as well as the GMP.
• Provides support/guidance for the QA labs & production areas to include training in food safety
• Provides needed support of all internal and external audits.
• Monitor quality and process improvement activities.
• Responsible for relevant documentation for Quality processes.
• Responsible for relevant tracking of KPI's associated with Quality
• Drive compliance in food safety under guidelines of Safe Quality Food Standards and HACCP
• Secondary site contact for all raw material and packaging suppliers.

Production Planning Supervisor
• Lead the annual budget process and influence the weekly and monthly forecasts
• Identify key risks and opportunities related to the annual budgets and forecasts
• Develop and maintain key financial performance metrics and tracking
• Monitor monthly trade accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Generate other ad hoc reports and analysis as required
• Analyze and provide P&L result updates to senior management relative to budget, prior year and forecast

Maintenance Supervisor
• Assures equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity and product quality.
• Guide and Support maintenance technicians in trouble-shooting production equipment when necessary.
• Implements process enhancements to improve package changeover and line efficiency.
• Utilizes knowledge to maximize asset utilization and plant performance.
• Supports/Provides training to improve capability of maintenance technicians.
• Schedules and tracks standard preventive manufacturing measures and prioritizes plant maintenance opportunities.
• Coordinates and inspects major contract work on the equipment and building electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems.
• Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.

Assistant Operations Manager
• Direct all plant activities to ensure timely execution of production schedule against overall goals
• Manage activities related to raw and packaging material requirements for planning, inventory control, warehousing and receiving.
• Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas.
• Design and implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials and finished materials.
• Partner with the maintenance department to maintain plant & equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Identify, recommend and execute Continuous Improvement initiatives in the production operation including process, machinery, method and material changes in support of plant goals.
• Develop the management and production personnel by assessing performance, counseling, and training
• Assess employee relations and communication methods to support the company’s philosophy.
• Complete projects, assignments and planning meetings with management personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, with a degree in business, management, or technical field
• 3 years of experience in a leadership/management role
