Qualifications
Experience and Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related Health & Safety discipline along with 1 – 5 years of Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive upstream safety measures to include things such as: Management Intervention; Safety Training; Near Miss Reporting; Management of Change and Action Item Closure.
- Support the facility’s Process Safety Management Program.
- Maintain and improve the EHS Management System on an on-going basis.
- Develop and implement programs to reduce EHS risks and to comply with regulatory and PPG corporate requirements.
- Actively participate in Emergency Response activities in a leadership capacity.
- Manage loss prevention strategy and maintain, inspect and operate the facility fire system.
- Develop and deliver effective safety and health related training.
- Perform Industrial Hygiene (IH) monitoring and evaluate results.
- Participate on facility ergonomic team to ensure employee involvement in identifying risks through the use of risk assessment tools and implementation of corrective actions.
- Oversee service contracts for maintenance, service, and repair of facility fire systems, perimeter access control, and security.
- Drive root cause investigations.
- Manage all H&S vendor and service related contracts; Track monthly spending.
- Floor presence daily to assure conformance to requirements
