Key Responsibilities


Responsible for generating the maximum attainable sales volume with profit from within an assigned territory or market segment through personal and direct sales efforts with direction from business manager. Develops and records the product and dollar sales potential of all accounts and prospects within the territory and use the recorded information to guide sales efforts to obtain the maximum customer and market penetration. Develops sales strategies that meets and/or exceeds the sales criteria for the function which includes expansion into new product and geographic markets. Negotiates appropriate contracts which will solidify sales growth with accounts. Provides input to participate in pricing decisions. Reports and recognizes developing price trends by market and industry. Analyzes the impact on of price changes on the business. Maintains and upgrades knowledge of company products, market trends, industry practices, competitors’ products, and potential opportunities to sell products. Develops and maintains relationships with customers, executives, and sales team to be an effective partner in meeting sales goals. Evaluates and understands customers to the point that key opportunities Provides technical details of products and recommended application of products in accordance to company recommendations or industry standards. Supervised for progress and accountabilities are reviewed after the fact. Travel up to 20% throughout North America and possibly worldwide to support customers. Work with major Aerospace OEMs to identify technology solutions and manage the commercialization of these solutions through qualification and production launch. The incumbent will work out of the application support center located in St Louis, Mo.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Minimum six (6) years’ experience in a Customer Service role and/or Sales Representative position for higher technical products and markets

Functional and Technical Skills

Must be able to speak, read, write and interpret technical information
