The Front End Manager at Rock Springs Ace Hardware is responsible for ensuring amazing customer service and managing a team of cashiers. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Training and development of cashiers in technical aspects of their position and in delivering customer service in a friendly and professional manner
  • Develop contests and motivational ideas to challenge the cashiers  
  • Ensure retail products are stocked on the front end for add on sales and impulse purchases
  • Respond to customer inquiries, orders and complaints
  • Quickly and effectively respond to customer traffic patterns by calling for additional cashiers when busy and utilizing slow times to maximize cashier productivity on projects, etc.
  • Back up cashier when business warrants
  • Accountability for cashier productivity and cash handling

Skills needed: 

  • Excellent communication skills to direct staff, implement store policies and serve customers
  • Superior teamwork and management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Friendly, outgoing and a desire to provide the highest level of customer service
  • Leadership by example and ability to motivate a team
  • Self starter and ability to work with minimal supervision
