Day Camp at the Michiana Family YMCA is looking for enthusiastic Male Counselors! Come to the Y and change a life!
Still accepting applications for both Males and Female staff.
Day Camp Coordinator - Seasonal Full-Time (40 hours)
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist in hiring, training, and supervising Summer Day Camp Staff
-Evaluate Staff Throughout the Summer
-Ensure Staff are providing safe and engaging environment for all campers
-Promote Teamwork between staff
-Facilitate daily schedule
- Coordinate and Communicate with Parents of Campers
Experience:
- Some Experience supervising Staff preferred, but not required
- age 21+
- 2 or more years in a youth work/camp setting
Lead Counselor - Seasonal Full-Time (40 Hours)
Specific Responsibilities:
- Guide Assistant counselors in leading activities
- Ensure camper safety and engagement
-Create a fun and exciting environment for campers at all times
-Implement creative activities that teach a diverse set of skills
-Provide conflict resolution among campers and troubleshoot problems as they arise
-Handle Disciplinary Action as required by our code of conduct
Experience:
- Age 18+
- at least 1 year youth work/camp experience
