Senior Financial Analyst - Full-time / Part-time

PrideStaff Financial has partnered with our North Dallas client in search of a senior financial analyst to join their growing team!

Under supervision of designated leadership, performs various financial analyses for regional and distribution center operations as well as generates revenue reports for the sales & marketing functions. Provides financial reporting to management to ensure revenues and expenses are monitored and operational issues relative to finance are highlighted and addressed.

1. Analyzes monthly divisional, regional and functional financial statements and operating expenses.
2. Prepares monthly financial analysis and reporting packages that include supporting schedules by business unit and include variance analysis and explanation
3. Support monthly business review through reporting, analysis and consolidation of multiple business units. Analyze company and division level financial performance .
4. Assists sales management in generating reports for the purpose of acquiring new business and initiatives; calculates customer pricing and profitability.
5. Monitors the adherence of credit terms and loan agreements by acquiring and analyzing the financial statements of all borrowing customers; establishes and monitors the adherence to credit limits.
6. Create and generate Hyperion Reports, SQL code, and Crystal Reports used for monthly reporting, analysis and process improvement .
7. Conducts pricing analysis for new and existing customers prior to contract signing or renewal.
8. Develops financial proformas to support capital expenditure requests utilizing discounted cash flow analysis to calculate net present value and discounted rate of return (internal rate of return).
9. Prepares and monitors all capital expenditure requests and related expenditures.
10. Analyzes gross profit components on a monthly basis and reports significant variances.
11. Monitors physical inventories such as inventory adjustments and inventory control procedures.
12. Analyzes monthly variances of revenue; reviews expense reports specifically for travel as well as other expense invoices.
13. Generates ad hoc analysis reports as needed.
14. Performs related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills Include:

1. Needs to have 4-5 years of experience in a data metric complex environment, Gross Margin Analysis & Data Analysis.
2. Experience with analyzing large volumes of data using Excel skills including to pivot tables, vlookups, graphs, sumifs, etc
3. Analytical experience must be related to revenue/margin analysis.
4. Working knowledge of accounting and planning software packages.
5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
6. Budgeting. Assist in preparation of the annual budget
7. Experience with Essbase/Hyperion is preferred
8. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
9. Ability to follow and interpret profit and loss statements
10. Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
11. Knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
12. Data mining experience is strongly preferred.
13. Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
