About This Opportunity
, and overall support of the IT systems in the Distribution Centers for their region. You will also have ownership over the expenses, planning, and administrative activities associated with your team and the team activities. You will be based at Distribution Center campus location and provide
back-up coverage to the Field Support Engineer at that campus. Will be responsible for travelling to visit each DC in their region on a quarterly basis. *THIS ROLE COVERS THE EAST AND SOUTH EAST REGION AND CANDIDATE IS WELCOME TO OFFICE IN: Georgia, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, OR Florida
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Business/TTS Partnerships: Prepares their teams to meet the long-term needs for the Target Distribution Center IT support. Maintains an awareness of changes in the responsibilities, TTS Platforms, business partners and Target Distribution Center. Maintains strong relationships with TTS Managers and project teams who support the DCs.
  • Vendor Management: Responsible for managing the performance of vendors providing IT services to the DC. Provides input on vendors selected for UPS and electrical systems maintenance needed within Distribution Centers.
  • Data Center Operations: Directs the DC Data Center Operations for Target. Responsible to monitor and assess performance Field Support Engineers in individual Distribution Centers to ensure stable, efficient and secure environments in all DCs. Will conduct annual Best Practice/Compliance assessments for each of the DCs in their region.
  • Expense Center Management: Responsible for establishing and meeting Capital and Expense Budgets, reporting of variations and identifying measures that meet Target’s financial goals.
  • Equipment: Responsible for operation of all TTS equipment for Target’s Distribution Centers.
  • Supervision/Training: Responsible for training, development and supervision of TTS System Engineers located at Distribution Centers in their region. Writes and administers performance reviews, salary action, promotions, and transfers. Participates in the hiring process of System Engineers, including interviewing.
  • Stability: Act as escalation support for assigned regional DCs. Serve as subject matter technical resource and troubleshooting expert during IT equipment downtime escalations. System Engineer and vendor resources to quickly restore equipment to full availability. Drive root cause analysis/incident review process to eliminate future reoccurrence and risk
REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Group Manager, DTO. Communicates and coordinates activities with DC General Manager, DC Engineering & Facilities SGL, Engineering & Facilities Senior Systems Engineers, HQ TTS Supply Chain Support teams and Platform Owners. Interacts with key vendors as needed. Primary escalation point of contact for Vendor Management activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field, or comparable work experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 7-9 years of IT experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated execution skills
  • 10-25% travel
