This Internship is for Summer 2015



Looking for experience in Field Merchandising? The Field Merchandise Intern will function as a support to both the Visual and Field Merchandise team by assisting with window display and maintenance, general retail merchandising and other special projects as needed.  



Field Merchandise Interns are responsible for:

  • Cleaning and upkeep of visual overhead spaces, table displays and mannequins across property
  • Organization and upkeep of the visual warehouse spaces to include the collection and distribution of hardware for floor sets and other merchandising needs
  • Assisting the Field Merchandisers with general duties related to store planning and execution of floor sets
  • Special projects assigned by either Visual or Field Merchandise team
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.



To perform the role of a Field Merchandise Intern successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA required
  • Must be able to work 30-40 hours; Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am – 4pm
  • Must be able to work from May 2015 through July 2015
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry small equipment such as ladders and hardware
  • Retail or merchandise experience is preferred
  • Must have desire to work in the Visual or Merchandising industry
  • Must have basic computer knowledge
  • Basic or advanced knowledge of visual software programs such as Photoshop is a plus
  • Must have a valid FL Driver’s License
  • Must be actively enrolled for the Summer 2015 semester as a college Junior, Senior or Graduate Student
  • Preferred majors include Retail Merchandising, Interior Design, other arts and visual related fields
