Sr. Human Resources Business Partner (Generalist)

Time Warner Cable currently has a position available for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Generalist) to support our Field Network Engineering and Operations organization. The position is based in the Albany, NY area but requires travel to throughout the NY state as well as areas of Maine to support our employee base in those areas. Travel is approximately 20-25% with some overnight travel required.

Essential Job Functions:

- Provide business partner support to construction, hub leadership and their perspective organizations. Establish strong partnership relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Overall support is approximately 400+ employees at various locations.

- Proactively drive employee engagement by conducting touch-base meetings, round tables, one-one ' s to determine opportunities to increase employee productivity and satisfaction.

- Play an active role in coaching and leadership development in order to drive business goals and objectives as well as establish succession plan for client executives and their leadership team.

- Attend client staff meetings to establish business knowledge and develop strong relationships with key leaders.

- Partners with business managers to provide human resources solutions that encourage effective business decisions and builds employee engagement.

- Manage HR projects. Partner with HR team within department, corporate HR, recruiting, compensation in order to provide best-in-class HR support to business clients.

- Identify roadblocks to business goals and objectives and partner with HR and executive leadership to resolve/address.

- Escalate issues/concerns as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

- Previous HR Business Partner experience supporting large non-exempt population level clients preferably in a technical environment.

- Strong HR Generalist experience including employee relations, compensation, recruiting, HR project management.

- Strong coaching and performance development experience including executive coaching.

- Ability to travel as needed.

- Ability to research and analyze various types of data

- Ability to make recommendations to resolve problems by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, and state and federal law.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to flex communication style to all levels of an organization.

- Ability to multi-task and drive results in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Education and Experience:

- A bachelor ' s degree and 7+ yrs of Human Resources generalist experience. Min. 5 yrs experience in a HR Business Partner role. Master ' s degree in Human Resources Management or MBA a plus.

- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred

- PeopleSoft or similar experience preferred
