The 2017 season promises to be one of the best, with the addition of our new wooden coaster, Mystic Timbers! Do you know what's in the shed? The 2017 season will also bring back Winterfest. These new attractions, and more, await you during your season at Kings Island.
Kings Island is pleased to provide exceptional training through Ellis and Associates at no cost to you! Upon completion of this course, you will be able to work as a lifeguard in our phenomenal water park. At Kings Island, we offer additional training throughout your employment so that you will always feel confident in your skills.
With more than 100 rides, shows and attractions, Kings Island offers the perfect combination of world-class thrills and family attractions. Guests can experience 16 thrill-inducing roller coasters, including the longest steel inverted roller coaster in the world, "Banshee," and the world's longest wooden roller coaster, "The Beast." Families can spend the perfect day together in the 16-time, award-winning Planet Snoopy kids' area.
Come make a splash in our 33 acre waterpark, Soak City, as a lifeguard or a slide attendant. Whether you prefer shallow or deep pools, we have it all at Kings Island!
Some of the essential functions include:
•Greets guests, answers questions, ensures quality service, and resolves complaints for guests
•Tests equipment before opening attractions to guests; give guests direction on how to properly ride the attractions
•Maintains order of guests waiting to ride and checks for and enforces all ride restrictions and recommendations
•Observes and assists with loading and unloading of guests safely in and out of attractions including small children and guests with disabilities.
•Communicates safety regulations with guests
•Monitors attractions for malfunction or safety concerns
•Scans a specified zone on the attraction every 10 seconds.
•Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
•Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
•Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
