PPG is currently seeking Production Employees at our Batavia, IL facility. Candidates must be willing to work 2 nd shift, with possible overtime and weekend work. This is an entry-level position with the purpose of supporting manufacturing. PPG Industries offers a starting salary of $15.00 per hour along with immediate benefits.

PPG has recently completed the acquisition of the AkzoNobel North American Architectural Coatings business. This acquisition provides our newly combined Trade organization a tremendous platform for profitable growth. This acquisition enables us to now operate in 800 retail stores, sell through over 4,000 dealer stores and supply product to large home improvement retailers, such as Lowe's and Home Depot. This acquisition also brings a portfolio of well established brands to PPG such as Glidden, Glidden Professional, Ralph Lauren Paint, Devoe Coatings and Martha Stewart Living paints; Flood, Sikkens and Synteko woodcare products; plus Liquid Nails adhesives and caulks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions issued in written and verbal English.
  • Ability to complete required safety training.
  • Basic computer knowledge and calculator usage skills.
  • Must be able to work well with others in cooperative spirit.
  • Ability to carry out the physical and mental tasks related to the job.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to lift cases or pails of product and load them onto pallets.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Contribute positively to the team.
