Vice President Business Transformation - Multiple Locations

Primary Responsibilities:

  Implementation of Consumer Solutions Group operational and product development initiatives with 3 main focuses:

  
  
  
  
  • 
    

    Drive implementation of new Operating Model and related Operational changes

  
  
  • 
    

    Develop new Portfolio Management framework and process

  
  
  • 
    

    Develop and implement product development and management processes in alignment with other organizational support



• 
  

  Design, development and refinement of operating models to support CSG including defining operational SLAs



• 
  

  Establish a rhythm of operational expectations and reporting that aligns with business operations



• 
  

  Develop new portfolio framework to prioritize and manage CSG business in alignment with strategic priorities as well as financial imperatives



• 
  

  Manage portfolio management process for CSG including areas of investment and de-investment



• 
  

  Work closely with Finance, Product and Operations to monitor all investment levers (HC costs, capital, SG&A, capability support)



• 
  

  Develop new product development and product management process to support new product focused organization: 1) existing product solutions and frameworks / templates and roadmaps, 2) new product development processes, 3) user groups, 4) other product infrastructure support



• 
  

  Project manage execution of identified initiatives across entire CSG business unit



• 
  

  Identify and scope new product or operational transformation opportunities



• 
  

  Operational support to Product teams as needed



• 
  

  Facilitate CSG strategic priorities including special projects (M&A, operations integrations, etc.)



• 
  

  Build relationships with key product and operational leaders within Consumer Solutions Group and across Optum

Required Qualifications:

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree



• 
  

  15+ years of strategic and/or operational experience, leading large-scale projects/ programs with complex transformational or new business design components healthcare industry experience 



• 
  

  3+ years of strategic consulting experience within external consulting firm



• 
  

  Advanced level of proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Excel



• Prior experience developing and presenting information to senior leaders


• End to end business process thinker


• Prior experience leading M&A, operations integration, process integration

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  

  Graduate degree



• Large matrix organizational experience


• 
  

  Formal process improvement training (i.e. Six Sigma, TQM, etc.)
