SUMMARY

Provides administrative support to the Operations Department, and Senior Management team of Time Warner Cable News.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Provides administrative and clerical support including correspondence, typing and various projects as needed for management and senior staff. Maintains employee contact list and distribution.



-Compiles monthly report from managers and other NY News stations for department heads.



-Corresponds with other TWC Facilities and Time Warner Cable Shared Services offices.



-Responsible for maintenance of all office equipment in the system, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted operation.



-Maintains inventory and orders office supplies, rest room and lunch room supplies.



-Processes invoices and balance P-card statement. Point of contact for various vendors.



-Generates purchase authorization and tracks purchase orders for Marketing, News and Operations projects.



-Oversees viewer story request process, including duplication of news stories to various formats for distribution.



-Authors and distributes internal staff newsletters.



-Serves as travel coordinator for management staff. Maintains current profiles with travel agent.



-Responsible for preparation and coordination of on and off-site meetings and events, including hotel arrangements, catering, audio/visual needs, etc. Responsible for set up and clean up after in-house meetings.



-Coordinates various employee social events. Orders food/flowers, etc. as necessary.



-Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that works well with co-workers, supervisors and customers.



-Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Operations.



QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


-College Degree preferred.

-Preferred to have at least 5 years secretarial/administrative assistant experience, type 60 words per minute, and use telephone and computer; must have good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; thorough knowledge of operation and use of various office equipment, use of office computer software and knowledge of office policies and procedures.

-Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organizes, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines.

-Ability to take direction from variety of staff in a deadline driven environment.

-Must be proficient Microsoft Office.

-Notary Public a plus.
