Bindery Room Workers - 2nd Shift - Full-time / Part-time

***LOCAL PRINTING PRESS LOOKING FOR 2ND SHIFT BINDERY ROOM WORKERS*** Immediate Openings!! Company Information: This position is with a printing company. They print mostly local Vermont and New England magazines. While they print the magazines they do not design them, their positions are not designer related or artistic in nature. Department Information: The Bindery/ Finish Room is where printed magazines are fixed together. Magazines are loaded and unloaded into the machines that bind the pages together. There are various types of bindings including stapled and glued, and for these different bindings, different machines are used. There are also machines that add cardboard inserts to the magazines. Candidates will be working loading and unloading product into machines, replenishing consumed materials (wrap, strapping, boxes), safely operating equipment (including pallet jacks, bundle handlers, and strapping guns), maintaining a clean/ organized work area at all times, and monitoring the quality of the product and reporting any issues to Crew Leader. Optional overtime available. While overtime is optional if employees sign up for it, they are expected to show up for the shift. Minimum Requirements: 1.Reliable transportation, no bus route access. 2.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 3.Must be able to stand for 8 hours. 4.Lots of bending, pulling, pushing, twisting, squatting, etc. 5.Must be able to reliably report to work for each scheduled shift. 6.Must be able to learn how to use pallet jacks and bundle movers. This position is temporary for 3 months (trial period to show up and follow directions and safety protocol). Perm placement with a raise may be offered after - this company provides training and opportunities for advancements within.
