Production Worker

General Summary:
Our client is looking for General Production workers. The worker/operator is responsible for operating production presses or packing parts as jobs are rotated. Produce and quality check parts in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilites:

• Operate presses as instructed by the supervisor
• Pack and quality check parts as directed by supervisor
• Request parts or material when required. Aid in the elimiated of unnecessary press downtime.
• Complete all operator paperwork (P-charts, downtime reports, operator check sheets, time sheets)
• Perform hourly attribute, visual and variable inspections as instructed in the OQ job book under Operator Instructions, record results on check list
• Report any non conformances to the QC department or to the supervisor. (This includes non-conforming material such as bad steel)
• Segregate non conformances from good production parts and identify
• Every part and every container with parts in it must be identified with a tag
• Report any unusual accidents (such as miss hits, double hits, etc) any bodily injuries or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately
• To ensure a safe environment, it is the responsiblity of operators to keep their respective work areas clean and well organized
• Additional duties as assigned by Management or Supervisors - MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO PERFORM ANY DUTIES
• Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to use neccessary safety equipment
• Must be able to properly use the operator buttons
• Must be able to safely operate the press
• Ability to determine quality parts and perform inspections
• Ability to check and record counter readings
• Good attendance is required
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
