Summary: This position operates under the direct supervision of the Small Parts Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Can read and understand necessary paperwork to facilitate the production order.
  • Can visually distinguish different wood species.
  • Will perform repetitive bending, lifting, and twisting up to 60 pounds during and eight to ten hour shift.
  • Participates in physical inventory.
  • Must understand and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Must have good attendance.
  • Must participate in the exercise program.
  • Rotates into other positions as needed as instructed by supervision or representative therefore.
  • Responsible for housekeeping of area.
  • Maintains work area consistent with 5S program and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

Prefer high school diploma or equivalent. One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reading for information & Reasoning:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Computer Skills:

Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and AS400.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

None.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Able to operate and/or use the following instruments and equipment: tape measure, caliper, utility knife. Must be able to read machine gauges and interpret readings.

  • Able to lift up to 60lbs frequently.
  • Able to stand and walk on concrete floor for 10 plus hours.
  • Manual dexterity required for using various tool such as calipers, wrenches, tape measures and screw drivers.
  • Able to reach at full arm’s length a distance of 0 to 36 inches in varying directions including upward to eye level frequently.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
