Express Employment Professionals of Littleton is seeking a Fiscal/Accounting Manager for a government agency in Denver! This is an intent to hire position with standard working business hours of Monday thru Friday, 8am - 5:00pm.
Primary Job Duties:
- Manage the budget execution process for various departments
- Provide direction various accounting departments for budget execution
- Ensure adherence to State and Federal guidelines
- Develop the department's annual budget totalling in excess of $100 million.
- Supervise at least four (4) other accounting professionals
- Provide oversight of purchasing activities related to personnel, training, operations, grants and indirect cost assessments.
Other Primary Job Duties Include:
- Create, adjust and maintain account coding system
- Schedule activities related to the Fiscal Year opening, budget reconciliation and closing year activities for the department and its programs
- Direct accounting staff on the execution of necessary accounting entries such as journal vouchers and changes in system transactions
- Conduct payroll adjustments
These duties are not exhaustive. This position will require an Accounting professional with 7-10 years' experience either as a Fiscal Manager or Staff Accountant, a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, and someone who has had experience leading and directing a team of accounting professionals. This position also requires a candidate with astute knowledge of accounting functions and who is a critical thinker.
