DESCRIPTION:
Leader in mail handling equipment seeks a part time service technician, with at least 10-15 years experience and a strong electro-mechanical background, to service mail extraction, mail jogger, and envelope miller equipment at a customer site in Little Rock AR. Semi-retired technicians encouraged to apply!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer contract REQUIRES on-site, start of shift coverage every Monday from 6AM-8AM as well as daily ON-CALL coverage from 5AM-3PM, with a 4 hour response time when called. (Note that if Monday is a holiday, on-site is moved to Tuesday). Tech will carry a company cell phone for business communications. Quarterly preventative maintenance visits are required. This job is PART TIME ONLY.
Aside from the 2 on-site hours, the number of hours per week will vary based on customer needs. Tech will be guaranteed 5 hours per week to ensure income. Must be able to commit to approximately two weeks of training upon hire. Business related mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate (currently .575 cents/mile) and travel time is paid at the hourly rate for ON-CALL trips (on-site excluded). The ideal candidate should be located within a 20-25 mile radius.
