Aerotek is currently seeking a qualified GIS Technician for an engineering firm in DeBary, FL. Candidates will be performing the following functions:
*Working within the ArcGIS software to ensure maps are being correctly updated for future use, within the utility industry
*Working with local project managers to ensure gas pipeline is being mapped correctly
*Performing edits/changes to the project to reflect the correct placements of piping
*Working with design engineering/pipeline engineers/utility engineers to ensure mapping is doing correctly
Candidates need to have at least 3 years (recent) experience working within the GIS software in the utility industry. Any experience mapping or editing existing maps when it relates to pipelines is preferred.
