The ideal candidate will be a professional willing to further develop in the Enterprise Sourcing and Procurement area as well as have the ability to maintain a high level of client focus and adapt to a rapidly changing environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent IT purchasing and procurement skills, contract drafting and negotiation skills, working knowledge of the Ariba purchasing tools, excellent communication skills, and proven excellence in customer service.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Manages and analyzes departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information; contacts department or initiator to clarify or complete information; determines method to process requisition based on dollar amount, timeliness required, existing open contracts, and/or competitive bidding

  • Negotiates and manages administration of various IT Software, Application Service Provider, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) supplier agreements

  • Administers and selects vendor to procure requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality and delivery date and places orders

  • Identifies requesting department's needs and develops and refines specifications for commodities, supplies or equipment

  • Interprets and communicates purchasing procedures to departments; assists departments in initiating requisitions and orders, and solves problems with orders

  • Executing purchasing and procurement practices, processes and techniques across multiple business segments and various IT commodity towers

  • Maintaining consistent purchasing and procurement strategies, working toward a consolidated strategic supply base for various IT commodity towers

  • Identifying opportunities, making recommendations and obtaining agreement for new and on-going supplier relationships

  • Implementing strategic purchasing and procurement efficiencies and processes through identification and implementation of best practices

  • Assisting with development and management of the purchasing and procurement strategy development

  • Reviewing expiring contracts and new proposals to help determine best course of action based on business requirements

  • Tracking spending and monitoring process compliance to document IT commodity savings and purchasing process improvements

  • Meeting project timelines at the customer and corporate levels

  • Interacting with key support partners to ensure all purchasing and procurement events are in full agreement with corporate policies and procedures

  • Leveraging Ariba platform (Procure-to-Pay and Contracting) to drive process efficiencies and reduce costs

  • Assisting IT commodity management with comprehensive market analysis

Requirements

Requited Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience

  • Advanced contract negotiations and administration of various IT Software, Application Service Provider, and SaaS supplier agreements

  • Extensive knowledge of the Ariba e-Procurement tool; previous experience utilizing Procure-to-Pay and Contracting modules (or similar procurement systems)

  • Excellent organizational, project management and communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Ability to be a team player; strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills; requiring a balance of assertiveness, tact, and diplomacy

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Works wells independently and has proven ability to solve problems and exercise good judgment

  • Must have a strong willingness to take initiative

  • Ability to interface with multiple levels of management, including senior management and executive leadership at both procurement and business unit levels

  • Technically adept at MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong understanding of IT Software, Application Service Provider, and SaaS Licensing

  • Background and/or experience with software resellers
