JOB SUMMARY

Provides health services to Marriott associates including treatment of illness and injuries in the workplace. Conducts case management and provides follow up services to clients. Provides health care advice to associates and provides health and wellness counsel to property leadership. Assists in establishing and overseeing health promotion programs and serves as an advisor on the accident prevention committee. Manages workers' compensation cases and assists in accident investigations. Makes sure to keep adequate stock of medical supplies and equipment. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by managers.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Nursing or related major

OR

2 years experience in the health care services or related professional area; certified as a Registered Nurse (RN).

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Assisting and Caring for Others

Provides emergency and first aid care for on the job injuries and illness.

Provides personal health care and advice.

Provides personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.

Conducts case management follow up.

Designates the medical providers for 24 hour coverage.

Documentation and Record Keeping

Establishes a record keeping system related to treatment activities.

Processes worker's compensation and regulatory agency reports.

Proactively maintains the confidentiality of all records.

Clinic Operations

Selects, orders and maintains supplies and equipment.

Makes appropriate referrals to community resources.

Supporting Safety Standards and Work Procedures

Assists with accident investigations.

Serves on accident prevention board.

Acts as advisor on accident prevention committee.

Coordinates the Modified Duty Program.

Monitors work environment to promote the health and safety of associates.

Implements property emergency plan.

Provides a safe working environment in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration/MSDS.

Implements and sustains property accident prevention programs.

Oversees health promotion and wellness efforts.

Develops medical directives.

Follows property-specific recovery plans.

Additional Responsibilities

Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

Demonstrates self confidence, energy and enthusiasm.

Manages group or interpersonal conflict.

Informs and/or updates the executives, the peers and the subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.

Presents ideas, expectations and information in a concise, organized manner.

Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up.

Makes calls if necessary.

Other reasonable duties as assigned by manager.
